Temporary Store Hours

serrano squashWe will be open only the following hours until further notice:

Wednesdays – 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturdays: – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Due to equipment failure (two refrigeration units) possibly caused by a recent power surge and/or the recent fire suffered by our commercial neighbor, we will need to curtail our hours of retail operation to only two days per week.  We have also incurred a shortage of volunteers for staffing the Wednesday and Saturday days of operation.  We will need some time to recruit, train and supervise the new volunteers.  If you are interested in serving two or more hours per month as a volunteer please contact us at espanolacm@gmail.com.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding!

New Staff Member at ECM

ben_pearceWe would like to introduce our new Inventory Manager, Ben Pearce, who has joined us at ECM. He will be overseeing our ordering and inventory and will work with our volunteers in stocking the shelves and other duties at the store.

And on that note…Ben could use your help on Thursday mornings from 9-11 am to meet the delivery truck from La Montanita Warehouse, opening boxes and stocking shelves. If that’s not a good time for you, we could use your help on Saturdays anywhere between 9:30am and 1:30 pm.  If you are interested, please contact Ben or Jean Salazar at espanolacm@gmail.com

Snap Up at ECM

Snap (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. EBT customers are able to use their SNAP benefits at our co-op which allows them to buy healthy foods with the benefit of doubling their purchase. Once an individual starts this program they will fill out a card at the co-op and we will record the amount of their purchase. When they return to the store they are eligible to deduct that same amount off their next purchase. EBT customers receive double purchasing value at our store!
